the mort chronicles part III

It was difficult, but they managed to find their way back to some sort of normality. James and Liam graduated, Naz just started going to high school, and little Liz grew up to a charming little Lady. The house hasn't lost life, even though their parents are gone.

Secretly, and only in the familiarity of their dark, shared room, James and Liam gave in to every feeling they've been holding back for a long time. Giving in to lust but, more importantly, giving in to this love, that couldn't be restrained anymore. After a while, they didn't even care anymore if their siblings found out. They should be able to live with it, if they wanted to continue live with the two of them at all. They never stopped being brothers. They never stopped having even a certain parental care for each other. They weren't just 'lovers'. They were the embodiments of the ultimate unified love itself, crossing all and every line there is to cross.

Elizabeth grew up accustomed to her brothers' unusual relationship, she didn't think too much about it. When she talked openly about it to Naz, he seemed worried that it would affect her and have a bad influence on her. He decided to go talk to James about it.

But of course, he wouldn't find James alone for a minute. James was always where Liam was, and vice versa. They were sitting downstairs in the lounge, entwined around each other, not saying a word as Nazareth came in the room. They were only looking at each other, faces so close and from time to time one of them would just touch the other's lips with his own, mostly it was James it seemed, but then, as soon as he let go, Liam was craving back for the touch. Even though they weren't alone, they didn't notice Nazareth coming into the room at all. Nazareth himself couldn't help but stare at the togetherness of the two. The intimacy was literally overwhelming, and he soon forgot his plans about telling them to stop their behaviour. How could he ever banish this?
Then Lizzy entered the room, and they all four sat down, face to face with each other. James and Liam seemed at ease with everything, maybe still in their own bubble, but this time they at least reacted to their environment. However, Naz was still worried about his sister, but she was okay with it, for her it was normal.

This is, what we call, the quite before the storm.
